On April 28, 2016, a raccoon picked up in this area tested positive for rabies.
Rabies is a serious illness that can be prevented by early treatment (prophylaxis).
If you have been bitten or scratched by a raccoon, it is important that you seek medical attention.
Do not feed or approach a raccoon or other wild or unknown animals.
If you believe that your domestic pets have been in contact with a raccoon report this to your veterinarian immediately.
