NOTICE OF SOLICITION OF BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF TAX SALE CERTIFICATES FOR LESS THAN FACE VALUE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to N.J.S.A. 54:5-114.2, Winslow Township Mayor and Governing Body has authorized the Tax Collector, by way of the attached resolution R-2026-059, to accept bids for the purchase of the below listed Tax Sale Certificates for less than the amount due. If you wish to purchase one of these Tax Sale Certificates, you must submit your bid in writing addressed to the Mayor and Governing Body, 125 S. Route 73, Braddock, NJ 08037 by February 6, 2026.
Upon receipt of all bids, the Mayor and Governing Body shall give public notice setting forth the amount of the successful bid for the certificate of sale, which does not necessarily mean the highest bid, stating in substance that they governing body will accept or reject such bid at a regular meeting of the governing body set to be held on February 24, 2026 at 7:00pm in the courtroom of Winslow Township Municipal Complex, 125 South Route 73, as required under N.J.S.A. 54:5-114.2(b).
If your bid is accepted, you will receive notice that your bid was approved and that you have 10 days to pay the approved Assignment Amount in full. After receiving payment, the Township will forward you an Assignment of Tax Sale Certificate document, which YOU MUST RECORD with the Camden County Clerk’s Office and serve a photocopy of the recorded Assignment upon the Township’s Tax Collector by certified mail, return receipt requested, as required under N.J.S.A 54:5-114.2(b).
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that your purchase of the Tax Sale Certificate does not make you, the purchaser, the owner of the property. To become the legal owner of the property, you must obtain your own legal counsel and foreclose against the Tax Sale Certificate at your own expense.
