The Mayor and Township Committee of the Township of Winslow will unveil a commemorative chair honoring American prisoners of war (POW) and soldiers missing in action (MIA). The ceremony will take place on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 beginning 7:00 pm in the Winslow Township Municipal Building, 125 S. Route 73, Braddock, NJ. The Governing Body will celebrate veterans across this great country and honored their brothers and sisters who have yet to make it home. This commemorative chair will be on display in the Municipal Building and will remain perpetually unoccupied for the nearly 82,000 brave service members who are waiting to come home, and will serve as a solemn reminder that freedom is not free. Winslow Township residents will be able to pay their respects to the men and women who gave up so much in defense of freedom. All veterans and residents are welcome to attend the unveiling.
