On June 14, 2017, a stray cat was picked up in the Braddock Avenue area that tested positive for rabies.

Rabies is a serious illness that can be prevented by early treatment (prophylaxis).

If you have been bitten or scratched by a stray cat, or other stray or wild animal in the area, it is important that you seek medical attention.

If you believe that you or your domestic pets have been in contact with a stray cat in this area please report this to your veterinarian immediately.
